Planning Policy - Current
The Brentwood Replacement Local Plan is the Borough’s current development plan, formally adopted by the Council on 25 August 2005. The plan provides a comprehensive statement of land use policies and proposals for the Borough.
Published each year, this document sets out how the Borough’s planning policies have been implemented over the previous financial year and informs of progress on local planning documents, such as the local development plan.
Local planning authorities are required to identify and update a supply of deliverable sites sufficient to provide five years worth of housing against their housing requirements. The Council publishes a document each year setting out the position for the next five years.
