HomeOption

HomeOption logoTo be considered for Council and housing association homes, applicants on our Housing Register and Transfer List, must express interest in suitable homes using a choice based lettings scheme called HomeOption.

HomeOption, which is a partnership between Brentwood and other councils

HomeOption publishes a property list which is available online through the website every fortnight advertising which Council and housing association properties are available.

Each fortnight, you can express an interest in up to three properties in a number of ways:

  • online
  • by telephone
  • by text
  • by completing a coupon.

Full details about how to express interest for a home are on the HomeOption website

Your expressions of interest must be received by the deadline, which is 1pm on a Wednesday.

We then offer the home to the applicant with the highest need, according to our Allocations Policy.
