Licensing Enforcement Policy
Environmental Health and Licensing Services Enforcement Policy
The Council has formally adopted an updated and amended enforcement policy, which applies to all enforcement activities carried out by officers in the Environmental Health and Licensing Services.
The policy is based upon four main principles of good enforcement practice:
- openness
- helpfulness
- proportionality
- consistency
and aims to provide a consistent approach to our use of legal powers.
